Jenga Africa Programs

At Stichting Jenga Africa, we work alongside communities to help children, girls, and women thrive in vulnerable areas. Our programs are practical, relationship-driven, and built around what families and local partners say is needed most.

We have operate under three pillars of Education, Health and Empowerment
  • Education Support

Education is one of the strongest pathways out of poverty. We support children and schools so learners can stay in class, perform well, and build real opportunities for the future. This is done through financial sponsorship students who need it most, Infrastructural (buildings) and Teaching staff employment and nutritional feeding programs.

Health and Nutrition

Nutritional Feeding Programs

A child cannot learn on an empty stomach. Our nutrition support helps children have the energy to attend school, concentrate, and grow. We have a daily feeding program in schools feeding 1000 students daily in the various schools we support with  nutrition. This practical support has improved school  attendance and wellbeing. This is a community based coordination with schools and local partners.

Health & Medical Support

In vulnerable areas, preventable health issues can quickly become life-changing. We support basic medical tests, check-ups, and referrals so children can stay healthy and families can access timely care. Collaboration is made with local  government clinics and trusted medical partners.

Girls’ Empowerment (Inua Dada)

Girls deserve the chance to grow up safe, confident, and in control of their future. Through Inua Dada (Lift a Girl), we combine mentorship, life skills, and positive role models to help girls stay in school and step into leadership. This is implemented as an  in program for girls and out of school program for young women. This fosters mentorship and personal development. The program gives girls a second chance, to pursue education and build leadership skills.

Tigoi Girls Basketball Initiative

Sport is a powerful tool for empowerment. Our Tigoi Girls Basketball Initiative strengthens teamwork, resilience, and leadership—on and off the court—while keeping girls in school, connected to supportive mentors. It has give a second chance to girls using sports as an avenue of achieving their dreams.

Women’s Empowerment & Financial Inclusion (Mobile Project)

When women have control over resources, families become more stable and children benefit. Through our Mobile Project, we support women to use tools like M-Pesa to save, plan, and increase independence. This has strengthened women’s independence and decision-making and encouraged saving and economic resilience.

Advocacy: Alternative Rites of Passage

We support advocacy for safer, healthier futures for girls—promoting Alternative Rites of Passage that protect girls’ rights while respecting community dialogue and change.

  • Community engagement and awareness
  • Support for approaches that protect girls from harmful practices
  • Centering dignity, education, and long-term opportunity

How We Measure Impact

We combine numbers with real stories, because both matter. Our quarterly reporting brings together data and lived experience to understand what is working and where support is needed.
  • Quantitative indicators: school attendance, test scores, basic health metrics
  • Qualitative insights: child surveys, teacher and parent feedback, case studies
  • Ongoing follow-up with schools, clinics, and community partners
  • Celebrating 10 Years of Building Hope Together! 2025
