Through the Basketball Scholarship Program, girls who might otherwise have missed the opportunity to continue their studies are given the support they need to stay in school, grow in confidence, and build a brighter future. Since the inception of the program, this initiative has continued to open doors for vulnerable girls by combining education with the power of sport, mentorship, discipline, and teamwork.
For many of these girls, the scholarship is not only financial support — it is a lifeline. It gives them the chance to return to the classroom, pursue their dreams, and discover their strength both on and off the court. Basketball has become a tool for empowerment, helping them develop resilience, leadership, and a sense of belonging.
We are excited that the current tournaments continue to strengthen this vision, giving the girls opportunities to compete, connect, and shine. Even more exciting is the upcoming Second Inua Dada Basketball Tournament, which will take place once again in Second Term 2026. This special event marks another important milestone in the journey of empowering girls through education and sport.
